On Saturday, May 2nd, KDI participated in the Harambee Ministries Youth Block Party, engaging with over 100 community members. KDI presented two design themes tied to Earthscape play elements — Charles White’s Altadena and The Towering Oak — and asked attendees to share their preferences. The community overwhelmingly favored The Towering Oak theme and its corresponding play structures, though participants also expressed a strong desire to keep Charles White’s legacy woven into the project’s narrative.
